Your Doctoral Students Special Interest Group is pleased to announce a number of exciting events at the in Chicago, IL. The full list of events is attached. Two of our events (the pre-conference symposium on Friday, August 7 and the luncheon on Sunday, August 9) require registration or RSVP. These two events are described in detail below. Please email huldagblack@uky.edu if you have questions or concerns.

9th Annual DocSIG Pre-Conference Symposium
Join us on Friday, August 7 at the Chicago Marriott (Room TBD) from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. This Symposium is a great way to meet and interact with doctoral student colleagues and distinguished faculty, as well as gain valuable knowledge that will assist in career development. The Symposium is open to all doctoral students.
The morning will feature faculty roundtables (i.e., an opportunity to interact in very small groups with faculty) including:

- Bob Dahlstrom (University of Kentucky)
- Mark Houston (Texas Christian University)
- Dan Ladik (Suffolk University)

Symposium participants will also attend a luncheon hosted by the Marketing Doctoral Students Association. In the afternoon, participants will attend a ‘Meet the Editors’ session. This session is hosted by the Marketing Doctoral Students Association.
The Symposium will conclude at 2:00 pm, in time for everyone to enjoy the afternoon and to attend the Summer ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø welcome reception.

Sunday Luncheon
On Sunday, August 9 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm, you are invited to attend a doctoral students’ luncheon. Join us for lunch and a keynote speaker (to be announced). Please RSVP to Lindsay McShane at lmcshane@business.queensu.ca by Monday, July 27, 2008. There are limited spaces available, so RSVP early!
Joint Reception with ServSIG
We are also co-hosting a joint evening reception with ServSIG, so make sure to join us for some cocktails and networking.
Job Market Special Session
Please join us for a special session on the job market Sunday afternoon from 3:30-5pm. We have a great set of faculty lined up to help keep you informed on the job market. Panelists include Rajesh Chandy, June Cotte and Maura Scott.
