Introduction
Interest generated from Dan Laufer's Domino's Pizza posting suggests that sharing mini-lessons about marketing news stories is useful to the community and not effortful on the poster's part

This strongly suggests that such postings are highly desirable to the ELMAR audience and the two of us agreed that we should try to encourage more of this type of communication. The subscriber interest implies that current news stories can be quite readily adapted to the classroom and more importantly; shared.
We would like to encourage all of you to consider posting your own mini-lessons on ELMAR. Sharing best practices in teaching is useful to all of us, and insights into what works in the classroom greatly enhance our teaching effectiveness.
A mini-lesson might include all or some of the following components:
- a link or a set of links to news stories or videos that could be shown in class,
- a list of issues or questions that might be raised in class,
- some suggestions for points to raise or lessons that could be transmitted by a class discussion of the issues or questions.
Each of us has our own sources and topics that we follow. If you have discovered something useful that you are going to use in your own class, the additional effort involved in sharing it is relatively small. Send it to elmar@ama.org!
