Call for Papers: “The NBD-Dirichlet Model – Application, Replication, Extension, Discussion”.
25 years ago in 1984, a landmark publication appeared in the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society entitled
"The Dirichlet: a comprehensive model of buyer behaviour" by Gerald Goodhardt, Andrew Ehrenberg and Chris Chatfield.
The Dirichlet model has been described as one of the most successful empirical generalisations in marketing.
To mark the 25th anniversary of that publication, the Journal of Empirical Generalisations in Marketing Science calls for papers on the NBD-Dirichlet model. Papers may be new applications of the Dirichlet / NBD model, replications or extensions, or discussions about various aspects of the model.
