Yale School of Management Whitebox Advisors Graduate Student Conference
on Behavioral Science

The Yale School of Management is inviting submissions for the 5th Annual Whitebox Advisors Graduate Student Conference to be held in New Haven, CT on April 16th , 2009. Graduate students are encouraged to submit papers in the areas of behavioral finance, behavioral economics, and behavioral marketing (specifically within the domains of consumer behavior and behavioral decision theory).

Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program. Complete papers are preferred but extended abstracts of 750-1000 words will also be considered. Submissions must be received by March 20th, 2009. Please submit your abstracts or papers to Kelly.Goldsmith@Yale.edu and indicate your subfield in the subject line.

The Whitebox Advisors Graduate Student Conference has historically attracted many of the top graduate students in the fields of behavioral finance, behavioral economics, behavioral marketing, and psychology. The goal of the conference is to provide feedback for, and promote interaction among graduate student researchers working in various areas of behavioral science. Along with the graduate students, a number of Yale faculty typically also attend the talks.

A faculty event, the Yale Behavioral Science conference, will be held at Yale on April 17th , the day after the Graduate Student Conference. Interested graduate students are warmly invited to also attend this conference, which attracts many renowned researchers in behavioral science. For graduate student presenters and other selected graduate students, hotel accommodations will be provided for both days of the event (April 16th and April 17th , 2009). Graduate student presenters will also receive a travel stipend.
