SPECIAL SESSION: RESEARCH AND THE JOB MARKET

Also at the 2009 Winter ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø, DocSIG will be hosting a special session on the job market focusing on two key topics. First, the session will focus on understanding the ways in which the research you do as a doctoral student connects to future job opportunities. Additionally, the session will feature a discussion on how to effectively ‘research’ job opportunities. Each of our panelists will present tips and suggestions based on his/her own experiences and also be available for questions throughout the session. The panelists include: Carla Yvonne Childers, Ohio University, Peter A. Dacin, Queen’s University, and Miranda Goode, University of Western Ontario. This session is scheduled for Sunday, February 22nd from 3:30 to 5:00pm and everyone is welcome.
