Sun Yat–sen University, founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1924, is well known for its academic excellence and ranks among the top 10 Universities in China.

The School of Business, founded in 1985, is one of the leading business schools in mainland China. The school consists of six departments: Business Administration, Accounting, Tourism and Hotel Management, Marketing, Finance and Investment, and Management Science. The school’s programs excel at every academic level (from undergraduate to Ph.D.) with a total enrollment of about 3,000 students each year.

Faculty Openings are available and the school invites applicants for Full/Chair, associate, assistant and visiting professor levels. All candidates must possess high scientific morals, rigorous scholarship, social integrity and strong teamwork leadership. The openings are:

Full/Chair Professor

  • Candidate requirements
    • A doctorate degree
    • Experienced professor, associate or higher, at a prominent university
  • Benefits
    • Title of “Cheung Kong Scholar’s Program” recommendation to the Ministry of Education
    • Assistance with research projects
    • Annual compensation 500,000 – 1,000,000RMB
    • An apartment and a one-time lump-sum subsidy of 200,000RMB if you purchase an apartment

Assistant Professor

  • Candidate requirements
    • A doctorate degree or near completion of Ph.D.
    • Established research ability with potential to publish in reputable international journals
    • Must teach core courses in English
  • Benefits
    • Six-year contract with starting salary 250,000 – 350,000RMB
    • After the first three years, a moderate increase with good performance appraisal
    • Start-up research grant of 100,000RMB
    • Relocation allowance of 150,000RMB

Sabbatical or Visiting Professor

  • Candidate requirements
    • Tenured at a prestigious institution
    • Term, two weeks to one year; longer stay preferred
