John C. Narver Endowed Chair
The Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington invites applicants for the John C. Narver Chair in Business Administration to begin September 2009 or earlier. This appointment will be a full-time, tenured position (100% FTE) and can be at the Associate or Full Professor rank depending on qualifications. The successful candidate will have a PhD. in Marketing or a related field and be interested in teaching and doing research on Marketing issues, although other areas of study would be acceptable. Candidates should have evidence of superior ability to publish in top-tier marketing journals and a high-level proficiency in teaching. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and servICe.
The Narver Chair was funded by Charles M. and Gwen Lillis to honor Dr. Narver’s personal commitment to teaching and scholarship at the University of Washington. Charles Lillis is founding partner of LoneTree Capital Management, a private equity company established in 2000. He was earlier chairman, president, and CEO of MediaOne Group and a senior executive and director at US West. He received his MBA from the UW Business School in 1969.
