Description:
Join the world’s leading statistical software company and make a difference in the way that statistics is practiced! SAS is expanding its statistical software, and we are looking for a specialist to develop new methods for clustering, classifying, and segmenting data.

In this position, you will implement these methods in new and existing SAS procedures. You will select methods and program the methods in C. You will also test and document the software and present it to professional statistical audiences.

Qualifications –

Essential:
Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, psychometrics, computer science, marketing research, or a related field.
Experience with clustering, classification, finite mixture, or latent class methods.
Experience writing large programs in C, C++, FORTRAN, or a similar scientific programming language.

Additional:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to identify and proactively solve problems.
Ability to give attention to detail.

Preferences:
In-depth knowledge of methods for clustering and classifying data such as hierarchical cluster analysis, fuzzy clustering, k-means clustering, disjoint clustering, variable reduction, latent class models, finite mixture models, and segmentation.
Experience developing commercial-quality software.

In this position, you will implement methods for marketing research in new and existing SAS procedures. You will keep up with the forefront of marketing research methodology, identify appropriate marketing research techniques for implementation in SAS, and program these methods in C. You will also test and document the software and present it to professional marketing research and statistical audiences.

Qualifications –

Essential:
Ph.D. in marketing research, psychometrics, statistics, or a related field
Specialization in marketing research methods at the graduate level
Experience writing large programs in C, C++, FORTRAN, or a similar scientific programming language

Additional:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to identify and proactively solve problems
Ability to give attention to detail

Preferences:
In-depth knowledge of methods for market research methods such as latent class and choice modeling
Experience developing commercial-quality software
Knowledge of Bayesian methods
