Introduction

Recently, web-based e-business has been going through a major transformation to take advantage of the new e-business technologies, standards, and business models emerging in different industries. With the phenomenal advancements in wireless communication technologies, mobile computing is entering into the mainstream e-commerce arena. Web 2.0 is changing the trends of the web technology development and web design. Toremain competitive in the global economy, e-business development and management have become central business activities for most digital enterprises. While e-business development and management is an important subject of study for academic researchers, there is still a lack of comprehensive reference sources which provide the most up-to-date research findings and future directions. The Encyclopedia of E-Business Development and Management in the Global Economy attempts to fill this void by covering a wide range of topics in e-business development and management for global enterprises.

Objective of the Book

The Encyclopedia of E-Business Development and Management in the Global Economy aims to present a comprehensive description related to the current issues and future trends of e-business development and management for global enterprises. SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before November 25, 2008, a 2-3 page article proposal clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed article. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by December 10, 2008 about the status of their proposals and sent article guidelines. Full articles of 1,500 – 3,500 words including figures, tables and charts are expected to be submitted by February 10, 2009. All submitted articles will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this encyclopedia. Additional information regarding this publication can also be found at
