I seem to have lost a source to a great study. Or did I just dream about it?
Can anyone tell me the source of this study?
Evidence on linking payments to consumption
[Source???] conducted three laboratory experiments and one field experiment in which patients qualified for six visits to a rehabilitation clinic as part of a prepaid medical plan. In the experiment, patients received one of the following, randomly assigned:
1) a pass,
2) a strip of six tickets with the price of the session indicated on each,
3) six separate tickets.
Visitations were higher when for patients were given a strip of six tickets, rather than the pass. Visitations increased even more for patients given the six separate tickets.
