Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Marketing or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation. If doctorate is not in the teaching discipline, candidate must possess 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. The credentials to teach one or more of the following courses: Professional Selling, Services Marketing, and/or Direct Marketing.
Preferred Qualifications: Successful candidates will exhibit strong scholarship and services activities with demonstrated teaching experience in Marketing courses with secondary emphasis in Advertising, and to contribute to the department’s proposed advertising management major. Experience with/or demonstrated interest in distance learning.
Position Description: The Lutgert College of Business is dedicated to quality education. Duties of this position include teaching both graduate (MBA) and undergraduate courses in marketing and advertising; collaborating with other faculty members in the College to develop team based programs and courses; advising students; college and university service; and ongoing scholarly productivity. We are interested in candidates who are marketing generalists and have the ability to teach one or more of the following courses: selling, services, and direct marking. Candidates should also be able to contribute to the development of the department’s newly proposed advertising management major.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: The ability to deal effectively with a diverse range of learners and use information technology as a pedagogical and professional tool. Successful university teaching experience. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the university in the development and delivery of instruction. Demonstrated record of scholarship and service and ability to collaborate with faculty to develop shared vision of the future.
