ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø’s Louis W. Stern Award
Nominations are sought for the 2009 Louis W. Stern Award. The Interorganizational SIG’s Louis W. Stern Award was established by Louis W. and Rhona L. Stern in 1999 through the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Foundation. The award recognizes an outstanding article published in a widely recognized and highly respected refereed journal that has made a significant contribution to the literature on marketing channels and distribution. An article is eligible for consideration between three and eight calendar years after publication. More details about the award can be found at the IOSIG website at .
A committee chaired by Shankar Ganesan (University of Arizona) that also includes Ravi Sohi (University of Nebraska) and Robert Palmatier (University of Washington) will select the award recipient(s). Please send your nominations for articles published between 2001 and 2006 by October 31st, 2008 via email to the committee chair, at sganesan@eller.arizona.edu. The award will be presented at the 2009 ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Winter Educator’s Conference. Additionally, thanks to the efforts of Shankar Ganesan, a special event will be held in the Marketing Department of the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. The author or lead author of the paper that wins the Louis W. Stern ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø IOSIG Award will be invited to the University of Arizona to present and discuss the research that led to the award. A very special part of this event will be a dinner and reception with Louis and Rhona Stern for whom the award is named. This event will occur during spring of 2009.
