The Marketing Department of Bentley College invites applications to fill a position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank for, preferably, September 2009 (or until filled). A qualified candidate will have a doctoral degree or expect to complete a doctoral degree by September 1, 2009 from an accredited college or university, have a strong commitment to excellence in scholarly research and teaching in our undergraduate, masters and PhD programs, possess a record of accomplishment or potential that is commensurate with position rank and, ideally, engage in and collaborate on research that is synergistic with the department’s current research (e.g., relationship marketing, e-commerce/social media, strategy, pricing, family issues, behavioral decision theory, non-profit, creativity) or future research initiatives (e.g., how the marketing function can improve quality of life, the sustainability of organizations and the public good). The teaching load for one on a scholar/research profile is 2-2. Salary is competitive and includes Summer support. Excellent resources, such as the Center for Marketing Technology, are available for facilitating research.
