The Department of Business Administration at Carthage College seeks applications for a professor specializing in marketing or a closely related field. While candidates with a Ph.D. or D.B.A. are preferred, well qualified candidates with an appropriate Masters degree are welcome to apply. All ranks will be considered for a full time tenured, tenure-track or multi-year contractual appointment beginning in January 2009. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will: (a) teach undergraduate marketing courses; (b) demonstrate a commitment to Carthage’s intellectual and teaching mission; (c) be expected to teach general education courses regularly, and have opportunities to teach the core Heritage Seminars; (d) serve as an adviser for our undergraduate majors; (e) participate in service activities for the department, the division, the college, industry, and/or the community; and, (f) maintain an active scholarly agenda.
Located on the shore of Lake Michigan, midway between Milwaukee and Chicago, Carthage offers quick urban access from the relaxed environment of a small city. Predominantly Midwesterners, students come from approximately half of the United States and from every inhabited continent. Founded in 1847, Carthage is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
