The Catholic University of Leuven (K.U.Leuven,) is in the process of recruiting a faculty member in marketing for a position that will begin with the start of the 2009-2010 academic year. Our current aim is for a junior (tenure track) faculty member with a research orientation in experimental consumer research, but all interesting candidates at all levels of seniority will be considered, depending on qualifications.
For the target profile candidate, the teaching load will be 2 masters level courses (Consumer Behavior, Product Management), with a combined class time of 90 hours per year. For candidates with other research profiles we will adapt the teaching assignment where feasible. All teaching can be done in English.
We require:
A PhD in Marketing or in a related field, the proven ability to initiate and implement research of the highest standards, the ability to stimulate and encourage the research of others, and good teaching skills.

The Dept. of Marketing targets its work to the highest ranked academic journals in marketing and related disciplines. Most of its research is supported by competitive university or government grants (regional, federal and European). Members of the group are active in all major international marketing organizations. They are present on the review boards of major marketing journals (Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing…).
