2008 Stakeholder Marketing Conference: Beyond the 4P’s and the Customer – Register now!

Are the needs of the wider public at odds with the needs of shareholders? Should managers consider the societal impact of their marketing actions? How should companies balance the need to communicate messages about their environmental and community ethos with the danger of it being branded as ‘greenwashing’? We will explore these questions and more at the Stakeholder Marketing Conference- a jointly sponsored event by Boston University, the Aspen Institute, and the Marketing Science Institute. This unique event brings together leading marketing faculty with marketing executives from companies such as the Gap, Timberland, and Frito Lay to discuss the growing need to communicate with stakeholders beyond the customer including investors, regulators, activists, and the wider public. This new field is growing in its importance making this conference one of few opportunities to contrast the latest research with the on the ground experience of practitioners.
