John F. Fiedler-BorgWarner Endowed Chair in Global Business Studies
Description: The College seeks applications and nominations for an endowed chair position in support of the international business curriculum at the Baccalaureate, Masters and Doctoral levels. The chair holder will also interact with and support the college’s Global Management Center. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach appropriate international coursework at both the undergraduate and graduate level
- Mentor doctoral students who have an interest in international topics
- Provide academic leadership by publishing in high quality peer reviewed journals and working with others in international/global fields across the university
- Work with junior faculty to develop research skills in international business
- Obtain speakers and facilitate the Global Business Speaker Series
- Actively support the college’s and university’s mission to enhance further its international standing and visibility
- Assist in developing international exchange programs
- Serve on college and university committees and actively participate in the life of the college and university
Qualifications: The person selected will have an earned doctorate in a business field and an outstanding research record with major contributions to the field of international business.
Appointment: Tenured at the level of full professor
