The Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurial Studies in the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University is accepting applications for a tenure-track position in Marketing at the Assistant Professor rank, with an August 2009 start date. The Silberman College has AACSB-accredited undergraduate and MBA programs.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Marketing from an AACSB accredited institution (or ABD nearing completion of dissertation) with evidence of or potential for high quality teaching and research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach primarily strategic marketing, consumer behavior and marketing research. Our Marketing curriculum emphasizes a strong foundation in the principles of the practice of Marketing, a global perspective and career development. The normal teaching load is 9 credit hours per semester.
Fairleigh Dickinson, founded in 1942, is a private, coeducational university with an enrollment of more than 11,000. The Metropolitan Campus is located 10 miles from the heart of New York City, and the College of Florham Campus is located 35 miles from New York City near historic Morristown, New Jersey. The University has overseas campuses in Wroxton, England and Vancouver, British Columbia. Silberman College of Business, with about 1,900 students on its New Jersey campuses, regularly partners with the New Jersey and New York City business community in delivering globally oriented business education programs.
