ANNOUNCEMENT – Faculty Position, James Madison University
The Marketing Department, College of Business at James Madison University, is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position for a Fall 2009 appointment. Candidates for this position should demonstrate interest and expertise in teaching classes within the business-to-consumer marketing concentration, with special consideration being given to candidates interested in retailing, database marketing, and/or marketing analytics. Interest in teaching within the College’s integrated core curriculum is a plus. A candidate must have a doctorate degree in business from an AACSB-accredited university (ABDs considered). A candidate should be committed to scholarly research and demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness. Relevant industry experience is desirable. We will conduct interviews with potential candidates at the August 2008 ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Educators’ Conference in San Diego.

The Marketing Department is staffed by 18 full-time and part-time faculty teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. The campus is located in the Shenandoah Valley in northwest Virginia, two hours by car from Washington, D.C. Regional transportation is excellent and the campus and surrounding area offer a wide variety of cultural, recreational, and educational opportunities.
