Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Marketing

The University of Connecticut, School of Business is seeking applicants for two tenure-track positions in the Marketing Department beginning August 23, 2009. The positions may be filled at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates completing or with a Ph.D. in marketing or a related field who have demonstrated evidence of outstanding research and teaching potential in the field of consumer behavior, marketing modeling, or marketing strategy. Candidates who have not completed their doctoral degree before August 23, 2009 will be appointed at the Instructor level.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with a Ph.D. in marketing or a related field who have demonstrated a record of scholarly productivity and classroom excellence that is commensurate with rank and experience. Rank and salary will be commensurate with background, qualifications and experience.

Instructor/Assistant Professor in Residence

The University of Connecticut’s School of Business is recruiting an Instructor/Assistant Professor in Residence with Marketing expertise. The position is affiliated with the Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CCEI) and will reside in the Marketing Department within the School of Business . Responsibilities include supervising entrepreneurial projects in the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters (at our CCEI state-of-the-art facility in East Hartford), and teaching three marketing courses per academic year at our Storrs and/or Hartford locations. The anticipated start date for this position is flexible, but will be no later than Monday, January 5th 2009. It is an eleven month appointment with annual renewals dependent upon performance; the position does not lead to tenure. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates with a Master’s degree, with successful and relevant entrepreneurial experience, and evidence of outstanding teaching potential may be appointed at the Instructor in Residence level.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with a Ph.D. in business or a related area, previous entrepreneurial experience with high tech start-ups and companies, and evidence of outstanding teaching credentials may be appointed at the Assistant Professor in Residence level.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
