Clinical Professor of Marketing Practice

SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY, Martin J. Whitman School of Management Department of Marketing seeks applications for a Clinical Professor of Marketing, a non tenure-track position, starting in Fall, 2009 or sooner. Clinical professors in the department are on multi year contracts with benefits and pay in the top 25% of AACSB schools. Their responsibilities include excellent teaching (undergraduate and graduate students as applicable) and excellent service. Professionally qualified faculty (per AACSB standards) are sought. Continuing visibility with practitioners via executive education, consulting and /or publication is required. Minimum requirements are MBA with significant work experience. Candidates possessing a Ph.D. will be given very strong consideration. The Marketing Department at Whitman is also the home of the supply chain management and retail management programs. A candidate is expected to provide teaching synergies with one or more of these specialized areas. An ideal candidate would be able to teach marketing courses that include at a minimum introductory undergraduate and MBA courses. Overall, the Whitman School is seeking an experienced individual interested in university teaching and service who will work collegially with the department and the school to further our objectives.
