Introduction

Tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in marketing

The Marketing Area in the College of Management at the Georgia Institute of Technology is seeking candidates for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting in Fall 2009. Candidates should possess demonstrated potential for excellent scholarly research. Successful candidates must complete their Ph.D. by August 15, 2009. Salary and a teaching load of three semester courses per year are competitive with leading research universities. Initial screening of applications will begin July 1, 2008. Members of the faculty will be interviewing at the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Summer Conference held in San Diego, California, in August 2008.
 
The Marketing Area currently has eight faculty members, including Ajay Kohli, the incoming Editor of the Journal of Marketing, and Naresh Malhotra, who has been ranked among the most productive researchers in marketing. While the marketing group has diverse research interests, a key focus is the development and commercialization of high-technology products and services.
 
Georgia Tech’s College of Management is ranked 29th among MBA programs by U.S. News & World Report. The College is housed in a new, $55 million facility, part of the $260 million Technology Square complex in midtown Atlanta. Georgia Tech is one of the nation’s leading research universities and consistently ranks among the top public universities in the country. Atlanta is the 9th largest metropolitan area in the US and serves as a cultural and economic hub for the region.
