One tenure track position in marketing faculty positions for 2009-2010 academic year.

The Freeman School of Business at Tulane University is anticipating one full-time tenure track position opening in the area of marketing. The search invites applicants from all areas of research interest but encourages candidates with strong theoretical and empirical backgrounds with implications for managerial and consumer welfare issues.

The Freeman school provides substantial resources for research and teaching. The typical faculty load is three classes per year and most faculty members teach only in one semester. Summer support is provided. The school has a well-developed behavioral lab with a participant pool. Additionally, Tulane is well-connected with the business community and provides a conduit for creating survey research panels.

Tulane University has about 8,000 students and is a privately funded, comprehensive research university located in Uptown New Orleans. Post-Katrina New Orleans is a vibrant, multi-cultural community in the second fastest growing state in the south (eleventh in the country.) New Orleans is distinct in its culture and many of its residents would not dream of living anywhere else. The city is recognized for the charm and beauty of its architecture and neighborhoods. Tulane University is actively involved in one of the greatest urban rebirth projects ever undertaken in the history of the nation.

The current marketing faculty includes Yiorgos Bakamitsos, Mauricio Gonzales, John C. Howard, Manish Kacker, and Harish and Mita Sujan. Several of these faculty members will be interviewing for this position at the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø conference in San Diego in August.
