The Department of Marketing at Florida State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the senior assistant level beginning in August 2009. We seek applications from individuals having a focus in applied consumer research, particularly as it relates to services marketing or marketing strategy. The ideal candidate is a collegial scholar with 1-3 years of experience at the assistant professor level who can demonstrate strong research potential and excellence in the classroom. All candidates must be willing to teach our doctoral seminar in consumer behavior theory. Other teaching responsibilities are open. Applicants must have a doctorate in marketing, or a closely related field, from an accredited institution at the time of appointment.
The FSU Department of Marketing () houses the marketing, sales, operations, supply chain, and multinational business faculty in an integrated program focusing on the service sector. Our department was recently ranked as the 5th most productive in the nation in terms of scholarly output. Florida State University is located in Tallahassee-Florida’s capital city-a vibrant community that offers exceptional living conditions, cultural activities, and recreational opportunities.
Our initial screening of applicants will begin immediately. Members of the search committee will be available at the 2008 Summer Marketing Educators’ Conference in San Diego, CA.
