KENT STATE UNIVERSITY, Department of Marketing requests applications for a tenure-track position in Marketing at the Assistant, senior Assistant, or Associate Professor levels, starting in August 2009. This is a funded position. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or DBA in marketing, or be ABD with expected completion no later than August 2009. Our faculty members are expected to publish in refereed marketing journals, so evidence of research productivity or promise thereof is required. Candidates with teaching experience are preferred and having relevant work experience is a "plus." Applicants should send course syllabi and evaluations in support of teaching. Candidates interested in teaching Customer Analysis, Channels, or Marketing Strategy are particularly encouraged to apply. The Department faculty have created two innovative undergraduate curricula. We seek individuals interested in supporting these collaborative and learner-centered programs. Involvement in our Ph.D. program is also expected. Kent State is located in an attractive suburban area accessible to both Akron and Cleveland. Our residential campus in Kent draws a large undergraduate population (approximately 23,000). The marketing major is among the most popular in the College of Business and at the University. Our graduate degree programs include the Ph.D., MBA, P("Professional") MBA for part-time students, and EMBA. All of these programs are fully accredited by AACSB – International. KENT STATE UNIVERSITY, Department of Marketing invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Entrepreneurship at the Assistant Professor level. The College will have both a Major and Minor in the exciting and fast-growing field of Entrepreneurship beginning in Fall 2008. The candidate will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and conduct research in the field of Entrepreneurship. Candidates will also work with the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation, participate in Center activities, and have a role in building relationships with the business community. A doctorate in marketing with a significant emphasis in entrepreneurship or a major in entrepreneurship, received by August, 2009, is required. Previous experience or evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and research is desired. Relevant business experience is highly desired.
