Hi,

I’m in the process of finalizing a proposal for a special session about Pedagogy in Marketing for the upcoming 2009 ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Winter Educational Conference in Tampa from February 20-23, 2009. The conference organizers seem interested in this topic but need a detailed proposal from me, specifically faculty supporting this proposal and willing to give a presentation. Below the possible topics covered by this special session about Pedagogy in Marketing.

Special Session: Pedagogy in Marketing

Next to do research in Marketing, teaching Marketing and Marketing related topics is another important aspect for educators. There is also an increasing number of Marketing Educational Journals committed to pedagogy in Marketing such as Marketing Educator Quarterly, Marketing Educational Review, International Journal of Marketing Education, Journal for Advancement in Marketing Education or Journal of Marketing Education. This special session about pedagogy in Marketing addresses relevant and emerging topic related to teaching Marketing. It is held in conjunction with the 2009 ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Winter Marketing Educator’s Conference.

Possible topics related to this special session about pedagogy in Marketing are:

  1. Using Simulations to Teach Marketing
  2. Integrating Video Clips in Classroom Teaching
  3. Introduction to Country Analysis Frameworks
  4. Using Internet-Based Resources in Teaching Marketing
  5. Role-Playing Exercises for Teaching Marketing
  6. Distance Learning and other web-technologies as a Delivery Method

I’m looking for presenters (no paper needed, only a presentation) who would like to participate in one of the sessions above as a presenter so I could include their name in the proposal. I would need from you (1) a one page outline of the focus and description of your presentation, (2) contact information, and (3) CV. Please reply by no later than June 25th, 2008 to be included in the proposal.
