CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: MRSIG AWARDS

The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Marketing Research Special Interest Group (MRSIG) is issuing a call for nominations of two awards. Both awards will be presented at the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Summer Marketing Educators’ Conference in August 2008. We have a deadline for the nominations until June 15, 2008.

GIL CHURCHILL LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Nominations are being accepted for the 2008 Churchill Award for lifetime achievement in Marketing Research. The Churchill Award honors Dr. Gilbert A. Churchill, Emeritus Professor of Marketing at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Recent honorees of this award include Dominique M. Hanssens, Donald R. Lehmann, J. Paul Peter, Richard P. Bagozzi and Frank M. Bass. A complete list of past winners of the award can be found at . Nominations for the 2008 Churchill Award should be submitted to Vanitha Swaminathan (vanitha at katz.pitt.edu) and to Shuba Srinivasan (shuba.srinivasan at ucr.edu) by June 15, 2008.

DON LEHMANN BEST PAPER AWARD

Nominations are being accepted for the 2008 Don Lehmann Award. This award, chosen by the SIG awards committee, honors the best dissertation-based article published in the Journal of Marketing or Journal of Marketing Research. This year, articles published in 2006 or 2007 (calendar years) are eligible. Please note that only articles based upon dissertation research can be considered. These articles should develop or display effective use of marketing research methods or develop marketing science technologies. Nominations for the 2008 Lehmann Award should be submitted to Vanitha Swaminathan (vanitha at katz.pitt.edu) and to Shuba Srinivasan (shuba.srinivasan at ucr.edu) by June 15, 2008.
