POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Marketing at Colorado State University is recruiting for two tenure-track Assistant Professors. The selected candidates are expected to start August 16, 2009. Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, publishing research in high quality marketing journals, and service to the university, college and department. A Ph.D.in Marketing or a related field at the time of appointment is expected. Candidates must demonstrate strong promise for publishing in the top marketing journals and for teaching effectively in undergraduate and graduate courses. The ability to teach International Marketing is preferred for one of the positions.
CSU is located in Fort Collins, CO, which is 60 miles north of Denver. The city offers an ideal climate and access to a wide variety of recreational opportunities. In 2006, Money Magazine ranked Fort Collins #1 in its "Best Places to Live" list based on its ability to "offer big-city opportunities and amenities — with a lot more green space and a lot less stress." The Department of Marketing is a very collegial group that currently has nine tenure-track faculty members, and serves approximately 2,000 undergraduate and 500 MBA students. Based on the citation frequency of articles published in the top three marketing journals, the department was ranked in the top 20 marketing departments with 5 or more faculty.
