SERVICE SCIENCE WORKSHOP

June 9th 2008, University of Strathclyde, John Anderson Campus

  • Do we have any agreed upon definition for Service Science?
  • Is Service Science equally relevant to all service industries?
  • Does the Service Science proposal fulfil the criteria to become a new academic discipline?

These are some of the questions we are hoping to discuss and investigate in the Strathclyde Service Science Workshop, on Monday 9 June 2008 in a workshop organised by the Management Science Department and the Strathclyde Institute of Operations Management.

Professor Ray Fisk (Texas State University) and a panel of experts from industry and academia will participate in the workshop to contribute to and facilitate the discussion. The workshop aims to bring some fresh insight into the subject and to define a number of relevant research agendas in the area of service as a system.

Attendance at the workshop is free.

The workshop is sponsored by the Research Enhancement Group – University of Strathclyde
