Our organization is the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) and the doctoral dissertation sponsoring organization is the NAW Institute for Distribution Excellence. Information about us is here: . We are a corporate membership organization and a federation of dozens of international and national wholesale distribution trade associations, each representing a different product segment.
As you may know, wholesale distribution companies are in the business of procuring products from manufacturing suppliers, adding value to them, and making markets for these products and services among a wide range of customer segments. For example, the top ten U.S. wholesale distribution companies by sales are: Cardinal Health, Inc.; AmerisourceBergen Corp.; McKesson Corp.; Sysco Corp.; Ingram Micro Inc.; McLane Co Inc.; Wolseley PLC; H D Supply Inc; Arrow Electronics Inc; and Avnet Inc.
