The following message is a reminder that the deadline for submission to the UIC Research Symposium on Marketing Entrepreneurship is fast approaching. Response to our initial announcements has been great and it looks like we’ll have an excellent turnout. Conference information follows:

15-16 June, Stockholm, Sweden
Proposals due April 15, 2008*
Distinguished researchers from around the world present new discoveries and ideas about marketing in entrepreneur-led businesses and new ventures, teaching innovations and discuss the impact of the latest technologies on marketing and entrepreneurship. UIC also publishes a book containing the top academic papers presented at the conference every year and many papers go on to be published in leading entrepreneurship and marketing journals. Additional illustrative topics to be covered include, but are not limited to: opportunity recognition, entrepreneurial marketing, innovation and creativity in SMEs, teaching at the interface, relationship between market orientation, entrepreneurial orientation and learning orientation, social entrepreneurship, among others. * *Please submit a 2-page paper summary/proposal to Javier Monllor – jmonll2@uic.edu(cc. gehills@uic.edu) by April 15, 2008. *We’re also hosting a half-day doctoral consortium on June 14. Doctoral students selected for the consortium will have their Symposium fees waived, have complimentary meals during the official portion of the Consortium and the Symposium, and have a portion of their hotel expenses subsidized.
