Competitiveness and Clusters in India
“Sessions on understanding the dancing elephant i.e. India at the 11th Annual Global Conference of The Competitiveness Institute”
This year at the 11th Annual Global Conference of The Competitiveness Institute the special focus is on understanding India, India’s competitiveness, issues and challenges for India, increasing productivity for competitiveness in India, innovation and economic development in India. The conference is organizing a special session on India with sessions for cluster practitioners and academics. The submissions are solicited for the academic conferennce, practitioners conference, poster presentation and cluster cases. Call for Papers | Academic Panel & Poster Session Proposed abstracts are invited to address, but not limited to, the core themes running through the track. These include –
- The special economic zones in India
- Internationalization of Indian Business
- Indian Competitiveness and prospects for the future
- Tension between Local and National Government within India
- Agglomeration and deglomeration factors for cluster development in India
- Competitiveness of Indian states and cities
- Innovation within Indian enterprise
- Innovation and Economic Development
- Cross country studies especially with other BRIC nations
Abstracts of proposed papers should consist of a cover page and an abstract of the proposed paper. The cover page should contain: Title of the paper, Full name and title (Mr, Mrs, Dr, Professor etc), name of the organization / company, country, job title, a brief CV of not more than 200 words, contact email address and telephone number. The abstract should contain: Extended abstract detailing the main areas of the paper and presentation proposed and should be no longer than 2000 words. We specially encourage young researchers to submit an abstract. Practitioner Panel: Submit an abstract of 300 words along with the cover page. It should finish with a summary of four key learning points / key messages. CV’s and abstracts must be emailed to session chair.

Selected papers would be published in edited volume for proceedings of the session. You would need to formally register for the conference to have your paper published within the edited volume. For more about registration you can look at
Best Paper Award
The best papers at the session would receive a special mention and an award would be announced at the conference
