Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing

Western Michigan University has an opening for a tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing to start August 11, 2008. Candidates must have a Doctorate in Marketing by August 2008, prior marketing teaching experience with favorable student ratings, established record of scholarly research, and significant professional marketing experience. Candidates for associate or senior-level assistant rank must possess both a strong teaching record and a strong record of refereed journal.
Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (3/3 workload) including Marketing Strategy, Marketing Research, and the ability and desire to teach a variety of other marketing-related courses as needed (there may be opportunities to develop a specialization in one of several niche programs). Conduct and publish scholarly research. Advise students. Serve on committees. Cultivate industry partnerships. Balance of good teaching, scholarly research with emphasis on refereed journal publications, and service is required for promotion and tenure.
