Head of Department of Marketing
The School of Business and Management of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is looking for a senior academic to head its Department of Marketing.
The Marketing Department at HKUST is internationally recognized and respected for its scholarship. One of six departments in the Business School, its research spans faculty interests in consumer behavior, behavioral decision theory, modeling, and strategy. Degrees are offered at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels. Numerous executive education programs for multinational and regional firms are also offered.
HKUST is a research-oriented university. Its Business School is renowned for the strong research records of its faculty as well as its teaching programs. In 2007, the Financial Times ranked the EMBA program number one in the world, and the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) ranked the MBA program the best in Asia.
Qualified candidates should have an outstanding academic record in any field of marketing, relevant administrative experience is preferred but not essential. Salary will be very competitive with generous benefits. The headship appointment is normally on a 3-year term with a renewal option.
