Faculty Position in Marketing
The Department of Marketing in the College of Business Administration, Florida International University, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Marketing to begin August 2008. This appointment will be a full-time position at one of three possible ranks: 1) entry-level Assistant Professor (must have completed doctoral degree), 2) advanced Assistant Professor (previous completion of Ph.D. degree and at least three years in a University tenure-track position) or 3) Associate Professor.
The marketing faculty engages in teaching, research, and service. Candidates for the entry-level Assistant Professor position need to show evidence of high-level proficiency in teaching. Candidates at the advanced Assistant Professor and Associate Professor rank need to have a demonstrated publication record in top-tier Marketing journals and evaluations evidencing high-level proficiency in teaching. Applications will be reviewed on the basis of the candidate’s potential for and record of research and teaching in marketing, as well as university and professional service.
Of particular interest are applicants whose teaching interests are in one or more of the following areas: Sales Management (Graduate and Undergraduate), Undergraduate Marketing Strategy (Capstone Case Course), and MBA Marketing Management. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in scholarly research activity and a capability for quality teaching.
