The Department of Business at the College of Staten Island, a senior college of the City University of New York, seeks candidates for an anticipated tenure-track position as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Management/Marketing beginning September 2008.

Required: PhD in management, marketing, communications, or related field. Demonstrated commitment to research, college teaching experience, and experience in curriculum development. Business experience, postdoctoral experience, and grant activity preferred.

Responsibilities include engagement in an active and productive research agenda; teaching basic and advanced courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in management, business communications, and marketing; and performing department and college service.

Located on a 204-acre park like campus, the largest in New York City, the College of Staten Island (CSI) is minutes away from the cultural riches of Manhattan including art galleries, museums, Broadway, and some of the world’s largest corporate headquarters. CSI offers 36 academic programs, 15 graduate degree programs, and challenging doctoral programs to 12,500 students. In addition to being fully accessible from the other boroughs of New York City and New Jersey by car and public transportation, CSI contains an advanced, networked infrastructure and a high performance computer system to support technology-based teaching, learning, and research. The Business Department has over 2,000 students and offers bachelor’s degrees with concentrations in management, marketing, international business, finance and accounting, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Management.
