VISITING MARKETING PROFESSOR POSITION
UNIVERSITY OF LETHBRIDGE

The University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada, is seeking a visiting professor for the 2008/2009 academic year. Salary will be competitive. The anticipated teaching responsibility is 4 courses for the academic year for applicants with a PhD who wish to engage in collaborative research with our faculty while here. Alternatively, applicants with a Masters or Phd who will not be engaging in collaborative research will teach 7 courses for the academic year. We anticipate that the successful candidate will teach a total of two preparations (if on a 4 course load). Preference will be given to candidates who can teach marketing research and marketing management, though there is flexibility in course assignment.

The Marketing Area at the U of L has an established Centre for Socially Responsible Marketing. Our goal for this Centre is to advance the state of knowledge related to a variety of socially conscious issues, including but not limited to: Social marketing, not-for-profit marketing, corporate social responsibility, marketing ethics, and public policy marketing issues. Individuals with research streams in these areas are especially encouraged to apply. The marketing area is a collegial, research active group interested in collaboration. This visiting position is available because two members of the Centre will be taking part in a one year research position with another social marketing centre.

Faculty of Management

The Faculty of Management values both teaching and research excellence. Class sizes are reasonable (45 or fewer students). The Faculty of Management consists of approximately 62 faculty members and approximately 2600 students, in a number of undergraduate management majors. The Faculty has a research-based Master of Science program and maintains close ties to the business community through co-op and mentorship programs.
