ASSISTANT PROFESSOR / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN INNOVATION MANAGEMENT
The Department of Marketing and Statistics at Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus invites applicants for the position as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor to take up appointment by March 1st 2008.
Innovation Management is a focus area for the department’s research, and the applicant is expected to promote this area by conducting high-level research. The department is therefore looking for applicants with an established track record in the field of Innovation Management.
In the field of Innovation Management, the Department has close research cooperation with Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). These networks can be leveraged by the candidate.
Applicants will be expected to contribute to the further development of the research fields of the department, and to participate actively in developing the inter-departmental, inter-institutional and inter-disciplinary research and teaching networks.
The position as assistant professor is a three-year tenure-track position with a research and teaching obligation. Applicants must have completed their PhD before taking up the position. A strong interest in research and good teaching skills are required.
The position as associate professor is a permanent position with an obligation to research and teach, including participation in the scientific development of the field, teaching, research training, pedagogical guidance/supervision of assistant professors, supervision of PhD students, evaluating work, preparation of and participation in administrative work. The distribution of the various projects may vary for each associate professor according to the decision of Aarhus School of Business. Qualifications corresponding to what can be achieved on the basis of employment as assistant professor is a prerequisite, but the qualification criteria can also be achieved in other ways. It is expected that the applicant has documented scientific production at an international level as well as documented educational qualifications.
Due to the increasing internationalisation of education it is expected that the applicant is able to teach in English. In the general evaluation of the applicant focus is on the research potential.

- A complete numbered list of publications and working papers
- Research publications and/or working papers on which the applicant wishes to be evaluated, should be marked by * on the list of publications and working papers AND must be submitted in hard copy. (Please note that for the position of assistant professor a maximum of five research publications and/or working papers can be submitted, for the position of associate professor a maximum of ten research publications and/or working papers can be submitted).
- A brief statement of future research plans should also be included.
Application and enclosed documents must be submitted in three copies.
The applicants will be evaluated by an assessment committee whose recommendation of each applicant will be sent to the person involved. Priority will be given to those applicants that show the best research potential.
Candidates, who are found qualified for the position by the expert assessment committee, may be invited for an interview and may be asked to give a test lecture. The committee is authorised to ask for supplementary material if this is deemed necessary.
