Tenure-Track Position in Entrepreneurship & Marketing
The Department of Business Administration in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship with a focus on Marketing or Marketing with a focus on Entrepreneurship to begin fall 2008. This position is new and the result of growth in our programs. Teaching responsibilities will be at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Primary teaching will be in new product development, idea generation and venture creation, entrepreneurship, and marketing. The selected candidate will help facilitate entrepreneurial student ventures and marketing research projects, teach students how to market new products, and work with the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership on outreach, consulting and research activities. Applicants should demonstrate evidence of effective undergraduate teaching, a strong research agenda, and an interest in mentoring undergraduate students and teaching in the part-time MBA program. (BusinessWeek recently ranked the part-time MBA program second in the south and 12th in the nation.) Previous industry experience and an interest in executive education also are desirable. Preference will be shown to candidates who possess an earned doctorate in marketing or entrepreneurship from an accredited university, or ABDs who will complete their degree by August 2008.
