Oakland University’s School of Business Administration is recruiting a tenure track faculty member who has an interest in both Entrepreneurship and Marketing. The rank is open but candidates at the senior assistant or associate professor levels will be given preference. The School prides itself on its congenial culture and cross-functional research.

Oakland University enrolls over 17,000 students and is located 25 miles north of Detroit in Oakland County. Oakland County has the fifth highest per capita income for U.S. counties with over 1 million residents and is the home of Automation Alley, a consortium of over 400 high technology companies. The university’s location offers the characteristics of a small town, family-oriented environment and the proximity to a metropolitan area that provides varied cultural, sports, and entertainment activities.

The School of Business Administration has AACSB accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate level. It has four departments (Economics, Accounting/Finance, Decision and Information Sciences, and Management/Marketing) and 60 full-time faculty. For more information visit the website .

Required Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Marketing or related field from an AACSB accredited or equivalent university, by August 15, 2008.

Evidence of academic research and scholarship in entrepreneurship and marketing commensurate with experience.

Evidence or promise of effective teaching in entrepreneurship and marketing commensurate with experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with various entrepreneurship constituencies in the business community.

Ability to obtain external funding.
