The Direct Selling Education Foundation (DSEF) is funding four (4) $2500 grants for sales dissertations. The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Sales SIG will select the grant recipients.
The process for the 2007 DSEF Sales Dissertation Grants is as follows:
- Proposals are due by November 1, 2007.
- Each proposal should consist of: 1) a cover sheet containing all contact information for the doctoral student and dissertation advisor; 2) no more than two (2) pages about the dissertation to include purpose, methodology, schedule of completion, and expected contribution to the sales literature.
- Five (5) copies of the proposal should be sent to: Professor Buddy LaForge, Department of Marketing, College of Business, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY 40292 (phone: 502-852-4849-email: buddy.laforge@louisville.edu).
- Potential contribution to the sales literature is the most important selection criterion. A secondary criterion is the expected date of dissertation completion. The proposals will be evaluated by a panel of sales professors from the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Sales SIG.
- Grant winners will be notified by December 1, 2007 and checks processed shortly thereafter.
- Grant winners will be honored at the 2008 Winter ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Conference and present their dissertation research at a special session organized by the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Sales SIG.
- Recipients of the DSEF Sales Dissertation Grants agree to provide DSEF with a 2-3 page Executive Summary of their dissertation upon completion.
