Thexis – Call for Papers
THEXIS is a marketing journal which is published by the Institute of Marketing and Retailing at the University of St.Gallen. Aimed at encouraging interaction of theory and practice in the marketing field, the journal has for over 22 years strived to link up the learning processes of executives and academics to promote marketing based on reality. As a single-topic magazine THEXIS focuses on one key subject in each issue. Each issue pursues the objective of being a unique, user-oriented publication with the St.Gallen hallmark that makes itself indispensable to interested executives and academics. THEXIS’ editors are inviting anybody with an interest to submit articles in German or English on the key topics for 2008. You can choose from the following options:
- Theoretical/conceptional or practice-oriented article
- List of theses quoting brief examples to underlay them
- Systematic article with integrated examples from practice
- Concrete and critical report based on experience in implementation
- Brief case study (maximum two pages)
THEXIS 3.2008: Sales as Competitive Advantage
Personal selling and sales management has been recognized to lead to a competitive advantage. The instrumental view on sales that has dominated marketing literature so far, seems to be outdated. We are looking for articles based on the following research topics:
- Customer relationship management
- Key account management
- E-business
- Accounting of sales activities
- Sales as brand ambassador
- Ethical issue of selling
Please send a one-page abstract (A4) to christian.belz@unisg.ch and thexis@unisg.ch by September 25, 2007 at the latest. The final deadline for submitting your article in full is November 9, 2007. This issue will be published on June 12, 2008.
THEXIS 4.2008: Sustainable Marketing
In sustainable marketing management, all corporate activities are similarly aligned with the requirements of the market, the society, future generations and the environment. We are looking for articles based on the following research topics:
- Corporate social responsibility
- Consumer behaviour and sustainability
- Social-responsibility-foundations
- Green marketing
- Societal marketing
- Objectives of sustainable marketing-management
- Indices of sustainability
Please send a one-page abstract (A4) to marcus.schoegel@unisg.ch and thexis@unisg.ch by October 15, 2007 at the latest. The final deadline for submitting your article in full is January 30, 2008. This issue will be published on August 14, 2008.
THEXIS 5.2008: Marketing Limits
Marketing at its limits: in handling other disciplines, social and ethical challenges, in listed companies or regulated markets. We are looking for articles based on the following research topics:
THEXIS 6.2008: New Marketing Research
Which new methods of marketing research help to evaluate future consumer and market trends? We are looking for articles based on the following research topics:
- Recent trends and challenges in the field of marketing research
- New qualitative and quantitative methods of marketing research
- Neurological research
- New opportunities of marketing research in the internet (e.g. analysis of forums)
Please send a one-page abstract (A4) to thomas.rudolph@unisg.ch and thexis@unisg.ch by February 15, 2008 at the latest. The final deadline for submitting your article in full is May 22, 2008. This issue will be published on December 9, 2008.
Once the deadline for submitting abstracts has passed, you will be informed within 14 days whether you will be requested to submit an article in full. Please send us your manuscript in electronic form (as a Word file). Prior to submitting a manuscript please check THEXIS’ formal requirements at . All articles will be appraised in a double-blind review process.
THEXIS generally concentrates on core topics. However, each issue may also include individual articles on general principles of marketing. In order for such an article on general principles to be published the topic must be of widespread interest and be dealt with in a self-contained manner.
