DocSIG Journal Study: The 6 Major Marketing Journals 2000-2005

This study examines the publishing history of marketing departments and authors from January 2000 through December 2005 in JM, JMR, JCR, MS, JAMS and JR. The biographical information for each article was examined to identify the affiliation of the authors.

The purpose of this study is to guide doctoral students in their application process. Some of the most common questions asked by marketing doctoral students are "How do I know where to send my vita? What will be their research expectations?" Assistant professors can also use the study as a benchmark for promotion and review.

The study can be found at the DocSIG web site under the header “Journal Productivity Studies.”
