Introduction
Tenure-track Assistant Professor
Tenure-track Assistant Professor, to begin the Fall semester of 2008 (pending approval). Responsibilities include: research that results in high quality scholarly publications; 6-9 hours of teaching per semester including undergraduate and MBA level marketing courses; service to the university and profession; and occasional distance education classes. Preference will be given to candidates in the areas of sales management, professional selling, and retailing.
Located in the Norfolk – Virginia Beach metropolitan area (in the greater Hampton Roads), with a population of about 1.5 million, the area is rich in recreational and cultural activities. Washington, DC is three hours away and Norfolk has one of the best natural harbors on the East Coast. Old Dominion University is an internationally-oriented, state-supported institution of 22,000 diverse students. The College of Business and Public Administration offers AACSB-accredited undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. degrees (including a Ph.D. degree in Marketing).

Required qualifications include: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in marketing from an AACSB-accredited institution (must have degree completed at the time of appointment), a strong interest in scholarly research activities and evidence of teaching excellence. Preference will be given to candidates with completed degrees and accepted/published articles.
