A tenure-track Assistant position, and a position as tenured Director of School of Retailing
The Department of Marketing, Business Economics and Law, University of Alberta, invites applications for a tenure track position in marketing, with an interest in retailing. All ranks will be considered, depending on the applicant’s qualifications. Candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and administration. More senior applicants may be considered for a position that is half-time marketing professor and half-time director of the School of Retailing. A doctoral degree in marketing or a closely related field and a demonstrated commitment to teaching and research at the university level are required. The successful candidate will be expected to be productive in research and scholarly activities and development of an externally funded research program will receive strong encouragement. The candidate will teach undergraduate, MBA, and PhD courses in marketing, with a particular emphasis on retailing. Previous experience in directing an academic centre would be an asset for candidates interested in the position of Director of the School of Retailing.
