Lecturer (or possibly Senior Lecturer) level, equivalent to US Assistant (or possibly Associate) Professor level
UTS School of Marketing has up to four openings for continuing (tenurable) positions at the Lecturer (or possibly Senior Lecturer) level, equivalent to US Assistant (Associate) Professor level. The School is recognized for excellence in theory-driven, practice-relevant research and teaching in the areas of Strategic Marketing Management, Understanding and Predicting Consumer and Managerial Decision Making, and Marketing Research Theory and Methods; and has a vibrant research culture with strong industry links.
Candidates for these positions need to have earned a PhD degree at the time of appointment, and must be able to demonstrate the potential to publish high impact research in leading academic journals, develop and maintain key industry links that can lead to nationally competitive research grants and industry funding, and must be able to contribute to undergraduate and/or postgraduate marketing teaching programs. We will consider candidates from a range of disciplinary backgrounds, including marketing, economics and psychology. Preference will be given to candidates who can contribute to the School of Marketing’s areas of excellence.
The School offers an excellent research-supportive workplace that balances teaching, administrative and research demands. Salaries are competitive, with additional employer superannuation (retirement) and relocation assistance available. There also is potential for substantial performance-based market loadings to supplement regular pay scales.
We invite expressions of interest in these positions from interested candidates. Faculty members will attend several conferences where initial interviews can be arranged. These conferences are the INFORMS Marketing Science Conference in Singapore, and the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Summer Marketing Educators Conference in Washington DC.
