Marketing Faculty
California State University, San Marcos has one or more tenure-track positions available in Marketing beginning Fall 2008. Applicants for all ranks will be considered. Candidates with experience teaching fundamentals of marketing, consumer behavior, research and/or marketing communications will be given preference. The ability to teach in the logistics and distribution area, as well as Internet marketing, will also be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include both undergraduate and MBA levels.
Applicants should possess an appropriate doctorate from an AACSB accredited university and demonstrate teaching excellence, the ability to complete quality research and the desire to be involved with the business community. Strong ABD candidates will be considered. Salary is competitive with peer institutions.
CSUSM is a rapidly growing university with approximately 8,000 total students, of which 1,900 are undergraduate business, and 70 are MBA. We are expected to grow to 25,000 students at full capacity. The College now occupies a new state-of-the-art business building, Markstein Hall. San Marcos is located in North San Diego County, approximately 35 miles from both downtown San Diego and Orange County, offering a full-range of recreational, cultural, entertainment, and shopping opportunities.
