Assistant/Associate Professors at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The Marketing Department invites applications for two position beginning August 15, 2008. We seek faculty colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences who can add to the level of preparation of our graduates to successfully work in a dynamic business environment. The Belk College of Business has six departments and over 3,000 students. The College strives to develop a deep understanding of and respect for diversity among students and colleagues. Therefore, we encourage applications from professionals who can help us achieve this goal.
Responsibilities. We are seeking colleagues with a primary interest in International Marketing for one position and Marketing Research for another position. A secondary interest in Internet Marketing, Services Marketing, or Sports Marketing would be beneficial. Applicants should have a commitment to a stream of research that will lead to high quality publications.
Qualifications. Candidates must hold an earned PhD or DBA in Marketing from an accredited university (by August 2008). We are seeking faculty with an active research agenda who have had successful teaching experience at the college or university level.
Setting. The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is a doctoral, research intensive university located in one of the nation’s fastest growing metropolitan areas on an expanding modern campus. It is part of one of the oldest public university systems in the United States and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The College of Business is accredited by AACSB. UNC Charlotte offers 20,000 culturally diverse students and a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The student population will grow to 25,000 by 2010. Charlotte is the second largest banking center in the country and is home to fifteen Fortune 500 companies and more than 400 international companies.
