Marketing Faculty Position
The College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs has an opening for a tenure-track position in Marketing starting in August 2008. The preference of the College of Business is to hire at the assistant professor level.
An earned doctorate in marketing or related area from an AACSB accredited university is strongly preferred. ABD applicants must have completed all doctoral qualifying exams and course requirements, and they must be able to persuasively demonstrate that all degree requirements will be completed by the start date.
This position entails both a teaching and a research emphasis. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability, interest, and plans to conduct and publish managerially-oriented research in high-quality journals. Candidates must provide evidence of teaching excellence and demonstrate the ability and interest to teach effectively in undergraduate and graduate MBA courses. We are seeking candidates with primary teaching interests in business and marketing strategy, and secondary interests in one or more of the following: marketing research, advertising and promotions, principles, sports, and international. Candidates should be committed to further enhancing our collegial environment. Industry work experience is a strong plus.
With a combined enrollment of over 1,000 undergraduates, on-campus MBA, and distance MBA students, the College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs has the only AACSB accredited undergraduate and MBA program in Southern Colorado. Dwire Hall, which houses the College of Business, is currently undergoing a complete renovation, with a completion date of August 2007. UCCS is located in a fast growing metropolitan area of a half million residents that is situated on the front range of the Rocky Mountains in the shadow of 14,000 foot Pikes Peak. Colorado is a leading technology state and Colorado Springs has many telecommunications and high-tech companies including Hewlett Packard, Agilent, Oracle, and Verizon among others.
