Attention Doctoral Students:
DocSIG, together with the Marketing Doctoral Students Association (MDSA/PhD Project), will once again be hosting a luncheon during the Summer ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø conference in Washington DC. This year, DocSIG will also be offering a special session on the job market during the luncheon. Topics discussed will include current hiring trends, job search consideration and interviewing insights.
The luncheon is for current doctoral students and will be held on Sunday, August 5th from 12 – 1:30pm in a conference room (room TBA). The event provides an opportunity for doctoral students to learn more about the job market, as well as address common questions and concerns with notable faculty members.
Presenters and topics include:
Annie Cui, Kent State University, Hulda Black, University of Kentucky, and Maureen Bourassa, Queen’s University, “Current Trends in Marketing Placements”
Andrea Dixon, University of Cincinnati, “Insights from the Interviewer”
Jill Avery, Harvard University/Simmons College; Deanne Brocato, The University of Texas at Austin; Merlyn Griffiths, University of California, Irvine; and Clay Voorhees, Michigan State University, “Managing the Job Search”
If you want to attend, we ask that you RSVP to mbourassa@business.queensu.ca (subject: luncheon) by July 23rd. Please include your name and school in the text of the email. Space is limited, so RSVP as soon as possible.
Best regards,
